WORCESTER PRIDE '09
The Worcester Pride Association held Pride 09 "The Next Generation" on Saturday Sept 12, 09 after a series of events days prior.
The day featured over 30 tables of non profits and CMBC business members under a big tent on Water Street.
Booths included something for everyone. Saturday events where hosted by Miss Crystal and music by DJ Mike Electra and DJ Tony T and a special performance by the Blu Drag Queens, As with every Pride the Political rally was held and the City's Mayor Konstantina B. Lukes who declared it gay Pride weekend, there where many candidates who spoke looking for last minute votes including Grace Ross.
The weeks' events included a Flag Raising at the MB Lounge, The Miss Gay Worcester pageant won by Karisma at Blu Ultralounge, and special shows by Maggie Cassella at Calabria and 86 Winter street.
The weekend was wrapped up by the ever popular Drag Brunch at 86 Winter American Bistro followed by a piano night at the MB lounge.
